We are seeking a skilled and experienced Floor Sander to join our team full time or part time. The ideal candidate will have expertise in sanding and refinishing various types of flooring surfaces, including hardwood, engineered wood, and laminate. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients' floors are restored to their original beauty and maintain our company's reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities:

Operate floor sanding equipment, including belt sanders, orbital sanders, and edgers, to prepare surfaces for refinishing.

Assess the condition of floors and determine the appropriate sanding techniques and materials needed for each project.

Remove old finishes, stains, and imperfections from floors to create a smooth and even surface.

Perform minor repairs, such as filling gaps, cracks, and nail holes, to ensure the structural integrity of the flooring.

Apply stains, sealants, and finishes according to client preferences and specifications.

Ensure that all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including proper disposal of debris and dust containment measures.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.

Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors to coordinate project timelines and address any concerns or questions.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Floor Sander or similar role in the construction or flooring industry.

Proficiency in operating floor sanding equipment and tools, with knowledge of different sanding techniques and finishes.

Strong attention to detail and precision in assessing and addressing flooring imperfections.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

Physical stamina and strength to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy equipment and materials.

Knowledge of safety protocols and practices to maintain a safe working environment.
