Manzoku Atelier at 45R strives to help our customers enjoy their precious clothes for a long time. We offer a wide range of services, including alterations, size adjustments, re-tailoring, and custom items.
Manzoku Atelier at 45R USA expands our offerings from “Repair” to “Remake”, crafting true one-of-a-kind items of the highest quality.
Who We Look For:
- Artisan with extensive knowledge on a variety of garment construction, with special focus on denim and shirts.
- Possessing a keen eye for details and appreciation for hand crafted pieces, we value in senses earned by hand, not machine.
- Artisan with passion for clothmaking, deep knowledge in brand and products of 45R, and/or desire to promote and elevate brand ethos.
- Dependable, punctual, with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Flexibility to work during weekends.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Adaptability and multitasking skills.
Responsibilities:
- Standard Alterations/Repairs
- Provide alterations and repairs to the highest quality.
- Assess and interpret desired repair outcome, execute client’s desired vision that aligns to 45R’s integrity and design intentions.
- Alterations include hemming, sleeves and body adjustments, handsewing and knit repairs.
Remake/Custom Program:
- Work closely with our clients to craft one-of-a-kind pieces.
- Assisting with ideation and producing seasonal made-to-order offerings from Manzoku Atelier.
- Monitor and take ownership of upkeeping quality in the tailor shop.
Your Opportunity:

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or graduate of a relevant undergraduate program in clothmaking or design related fields.
- Experience with industrial sewing machines.
- Proficiency in Japanese and other languages is a plus.
