Atelier 4 Inc has always set itself apart from other logistic carriers with their innovative & highest quality of service. We are seeking a safety-minded Crate Shop Packer for full-time employment in our New York office to be a key contributor in assuring our services meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations.
Job duties
Soft packing, building trays & customs boxes for various types of artworks; paintings, framed editions, sculptures, 3-D items, etc.
Use of saws, hand tools, glue gun, matte knives, etc.
Cavity packing, bracing & final crate fitting of various types of artworks
Maintaining clean and accurate paperwork; time sheets, inspection reports, build plans
Clean equipment, tools, and shop areas to maintain orderly & safe operation
Qualifications
Minimum two years experience in fine arts packing or handling environment
Basic experience with power tools (panel saw, band saw & material cutter)
Knowledge of various soft packing materials and art-handling best practices
Ability to read and understand packing instructions, packing diagrams, packing lists, etc
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Regular and predictable attendance
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as part of the daily activity
Ability to work extended periods of standing, bending, lifting and/or driving
Ability to effectively communicate with others (verbally and in writing)
Drug Free environment / safe work environment
Full –time work – NOT gig work

Work hours: generally 9:00am to 5:00pm
Pay Range: $22 to $26 per hour DOE
