As an Electrician on the Electrical Shop team, you’ll be performing electrical repairs assisting in the upkeep and reshaping of our communities to attract the residents of the future.

What you will do:
Perform routine electrical repairs within apartment homes. Examples: outlet, switch, light fixture, ballast, and breaker panel repairs and replacement when required.
Ability to properly diagnosis electrical issues and make required repairs to achieve desired results.
Ability to diagnosis and repair VFDs, Electrical Switchgear, Compactors and other various machine controls throughout the property.
Ability to perform electrical PM work and minor upgrades in apartments as well as common area spaces and amenity spaces.
Troubleshoot and evaluate security system problems and make necessary repairs.
Troubleshoot and evaluate BMS system operating issues.
Operation, maintenance and repair of all software and hardware for the intercom system.
Additional duties may be assigned by your Supervisor.
What you should have:
3 - 5+ Years of experience within the electrical trade
Trade school graduation or equivalent education is a plus.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good time management and organizational skill
A strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others
A belief that doing the right thing is the only option, no matter how difficult it might be
A willingness to respond to emergency situations no matter the time of day
A valid Driver's License that must be enrolled in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) program.
Ability to use tablet-based work order program to complete assigned work orders
Basic – Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Outlook
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Able to multi-task under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
Overtime is available and required in emergency situations
Good time management and organizational skills
Able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.).

Hourly Rate: $29.56 Hourly
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location.
