Established electrical contractor looking for experienced electrical foreman to work within the 5 Boroughs.
The following requirements are a MUST:
Minimum 5 years experience.
Ability to manage crews and schedules of 5-20 people.
Knowledge of electrical codes and construction safety requirements.
Telephone and data experience is preferred.
Experienced in electrical systems, controls, network cabling systems, as well as fire and security alarms.
Ability to read blue prints and drawings.
Experienced with both commercial and residential work a plus
OSHA 30 Card
Responsibilities:
Manage, train, and evaluate employees and team members.
Communicate with project manager regarding schedules, scope changes, material and labor management.
Manage material to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
Coordinate with other trades prior to and during installation process.
Establish and maintain relationships with customers to insure satisfaction.
Participate in project meetings and conference calls.
Interact closely with teams to ensure project needs and expectations are met.
An electrical foreman is in charge of large and complex projects that employ many different electricians at the same time, and supervises the project as a whole, from the large-scale down to the details. On such a project, a foreman is responsible for providing on-site direction and leadership for workers in order to complete jobs within specific guidelines that include quality standards, time requirements, and budget considerations.
