Architectural woodworking company located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn is currently hiring for two positions:
1. Cabinet maker/Woodworker (Shop-Based)
We are seeking an experienced woodworker to work in our shop, handling all aspects of production, including cutting, assembly, and Installing.
Responsibilities:
Operate woodworking machinery, including table saws, routers, planers, and other woodworking machines.
Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and shop plans to ensure precise production.
Cut, shape, assemble wood products such as furniture, cabinets, or custom millwork, according to drawings.
Perform quality checks to ensure dimensions and finishes meet project specifications.
Install finished products.
Requirements:
Min 5 years of professional woodworking experience.
Proficient English communication skills. Spanish is a plus but not necessary.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong understanding of wood species, grain patterns, and material durability for high-quality results.
Ability to troubleshoot machinery issues and solve mechanical problems.
Physical strength and stamina for lifting heavy materials and operating equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural plans.
Driver License and ability to drive shop van if necessary.
Must have own hand/power tools
2. Finish Carpenter (Job-Site/Shop Based)
We are looking for a skilled finish carpenter to work on job sites, specializing in interior carpentry and installations.
Responsibilities:
Install interior trim, including crown molding, baseboards, wainscoting, and door/window casings.
Install Kitchen Cabinets , Doors and pocket Doors and Vanities
Build and install custom cabinetry, shelving units, and staircases tailored to specific spaces.
Install any other carpentry piece and other fixtures to ensure smooth operation and aesthetic appeal.
Sand, finish, or repair wood surfaces to achieve polished results.
Requirements:
Min 5 years of experience in finish carpentry with a focus on precision work.
Proficient English communication skills. Spanish is a plus but not necessary.
Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws).
Strong problem-solving skills to address on-site challenges independently.
Attention to detail for high-quality finishes that align with overall design aesthetics.
Self-sufficient problem solver with the ability to work independently.
