Are you a videographer who lives and breathes hip-hop? Frank Diezal – an independent hip-hop artist based in Stamford by way of White Plains, NY – is looking for a talented videographer to join his team.
Frank’s music is a blend of hard-hitting beats and authentic lyrics, capturing the essence of East Coast hip-hop with a modern twist. His brand is all about high energy, real storytelling, and in your face hip-hop. With new projects on the horizon, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the visual identity of an up-and-coming artist. We are seeking to build a long-term creative partnership with a dedicated videographer who cab help shape our vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Music Video Production: Work closely with Frank to plan, shoot, and edit music videos that reflect his style and vision. This includes brainstorming concepts, scouting locations, and capturing dynamic footage that matches the energy of his tracks.
- Live Event Filming: Attend and film live performances, studio sessions, and behind-the-scenes moments. You’ll be responsible for turning high-energy shows and candid moments into engaging video content for fans.
- Post-Production: Edit raw footage into polished videos ready for YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms. Sync video with studio audio, add effects/graphics as needed, and ensure the final cut tells a compelling story.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain Frank Diezal’s visual brand across all videos. Whether it’s a gritty street vibe or a fun party scene, ensure each video feels true to Frank’s style and engages viewers.
- Social Media Content: Capture and edit short-form content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Help create viral, engaging content that connects with Frank’s growing online audience.
- Collaboration: Communicate with Frank and his team throughout the process. Be open to feedback and contribute your own creative ideas to elevate each project. Flexibility for reshoots or last-minute tweaks is a must in the fast-paced music industry.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven Video Experience: 1-3+ years of experience in videography, especially music video production.
Editing Proficiency: Highly skilled in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and/or DaVinci Resolve. Ability to do color grading, synchronize audio, and add visual effects or text overlays when needed.
Camera & Lighting Skills: Experience operating professional cameras (DSLR/mirrorless or cinema cameras) and a good eye for framing shots. Knowledge of lighting setups for both outdoor street scenes and indoor club/studio scenes to create mood and highlight the artist.
Creativity & Storytelling: A flair for visual storytelling and a creative mindset to translate music and lyrics into compelling scenes. You should be able to suggest ideas for how to shoot a concept (e.g., using slow-motion, unique angles, or story elements) that will make the video stand out.
Social Media Savvy: Deep understanding of social media trends, especially in the hip-hop space. Ability to shoot and edit content using smartphones for platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Must be able to create content that resonates with current trends and engages online audiences.
Smartphone Proficiency: Skilled in shooting high-quality video content using smartphones, understanding how to optimize lighting, angles, and audio for social media platforms.

Reliability & Communication: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Able to take direction but also work independently on tasks. Reliable with deadlines – if a video is scheduled to drop, you make sure everything is ready on time.
Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work some evenings or weekends as needed for concerts, club events, or location shoots. Must be able to travel within the NYC/Stamford/White Plains area for filming on location.
Equipment Preferences
While not strictly required, having your own professional video gear is a huge plus:
A high-quality DSLR or mirrorless camera (able to shoot in HD/4K). Preferred brands include Canon, Sony, Nikon – anything that produces crisp, cinematic footage.
A range of lenses for wide-angle city shots and up-close performance shots.
Stabilization equipment like a gimbal, Steadicam, or tripod for smooth motion filming.
Audio recording gear (external mics) for capturing live sound or interviews if needed. (Studio tracks will be provided for music videos, but good on-site audio is useful for behind-the-scenes clips.)
Lighting kit (softboxes, LED panels, etc.) for creative lighting in low-light venues or night shoots.
Powerful editing computer or laptop to handle high-resolution footage efficiently (so you can edit and render videos without delay).
If you don’t own all of the above but have access to equipment or can rent as needed, that’s fine – let us know what you can bring to the table. The goal is to ensure we have the tools to produce top-tier music videos that look professional and fresh.
Compensation
This is a paid gig for each project you complete. Specific compensation will depend on your experience and the scope of each video shoot:
Per Project Pay: Rates are negotiable – let us know your typical rate for a 3-4 minute music video (filming + editing). We value your talent and time, and we’re willing to discuss a rate that is fair for both parties.
Growth Opportunities: We’re looking to build a long-term working relationship. As Frank Diezal’s exposure grows, there will be ongoing opportunities for future videos, tour footage, promotional content, and more. We’re in this for the long haul and want to work with someone equally committed.
Credit & Exposure: All video content you produce will credit you as the videographer. Your name/brand will be featured in video descriptions and credits, giving you exposure to Frank’s audience. This is a great opportunity to grow your portfolio and network in the music industry.
(If you have specific compensation requirements, let us know. We understand creative work has value, and we’re open to finding an arrangement that works for everyone.)
