Job Description:
I run a YouTube channel focused on history, sharing interesting facts, detailed explanations, and unique perspectives on historical events. I am looking for a video editor who can take my recorded narration and match it with engaging visuals—including historical images, maps, archival footage, and animations—to create compelling content.
Responsibilities:
Find and source relevant visuals (historical images, footage, maps, and animations) that match the narration.
Edit videos by aligning visuals with my recorded voiceovers to ensure smooth storytelling.
Add simple text, captions, and effects when needed.
Ensure historical accuracy of images and videos used.
Maintain consistent editing style and pacing across videos.
Handle basic audio syncing and enhancement to improve clarity.
Requirements:
Proficiency in any video editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, etc.).
Strong research skills to find historically accurate and copyright-friendly visuals.
Experience in documentary-style video editing is a plus.
Ability to match visuals to storytelling tone.
Reliable, responsive, and able to meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Background in history or historical content creation is a plus.
Experience in motion graphics (basic animations or map highlights).
Understanding of YouTube content trends and engagement strategies.
Compensation:
