Momentum Massage and Wellness, seeks a professional and goal oriented, NYS Licensed Massage Therapist who is looking to grow with our practice. We’re looking for a LMT who is passionate about therapeutic, sports, and treatment-oriented bodywork. Applicant must be positive, friendly, driven, responsible, professional, and possess excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills. RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides a welcoming and safe environment for clients; listens and communicates with clients in a respectful and professional manner.
Understands the benefits and contraindications (local & systemic) of massage therapy and is able to communicate them effectively to clients.
Conducts a thorough intake interview, reviews client intake form, assesses client’s posture and range of motion (before, after and/or during session), discusses client’s complaints and goals and creates a treatment plan for each session.
Upholds Momentum’s programs and policies (see our Policy page on our website).
Conducts a thorough outtake with each client and incorporates the findings into the Assessment and Plan portion of the SOAP notes.
Educates clients on benefits of massage therapy, anatomical terms, muscle function, stretching and strengthening and suggests self-care techniques when applicable.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy School
Valid, current NYS Massage License
1-2+ years of professional massage therapy experience (will consider a talented recent graduate)
Current Professional Liability Insurance (effective prior to start date)
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a wide range of personalities
Must be punctual, have a polished and professional appearance and a positive, can-do attitude
PREFERRED SKILLS
Completion of additional education or training in Prenatal/Pregnancy Massage or interest in completing additional training, a plus
Additional training in neuromuscular, sports, trigger point, injury assessment, cupping, myofascial therapies, a plus
Additional training in other modalities we don’t provide, a plus
