YO-C SALON is a well-established hair salon in the heart of the East Village, New York, and has been loved by local clients for over 17 years. We are currently seeking Hair Stylists and Rent Chair Stylists to join our team!
At YO-C SALON, we embrace the latest trends and techniques to provide the highest quality of service. We specialize in Japanese straight perm techniques, creating beautiful, natural results while keeping the hair healthy. Our salon provides a relaxed and creative environment where clients can express themselves at their best.
Responsibilities:
・Provide a range of hair services, including cutting, coloring, styling, and Japanese straight perms for a diverse clientele
・Offer personalized services by staying updated on the latest trends and tailoring styles to meet each client’s unique needs
・Utilize Japanese straight perm techniques to deliver natural, beautiful results that are gentle on the hair
・Build strong client relationships through excellent communication and outstanding customer service
・Work collaboratively with the salon team to ensure smooth daily operations
・Recommend and sell hair care products to enhance the client's overall experience and hair health
Skills & Experience:
・A valid cosmetology license is required
・Experience or a strong interest in learning Japanese straight perm techniques
・Proficiency in cutting, coloring, and styling techniques
・Experience in a salon environment is preferred
・Excellent communication skills and the ability to build client relationships

Compensation: Commission-based (for Rent Chair Stylists), Competitive salary (for full-time staff)
Work Hours: Tuesday to Sunday (Monday is a day off)
Work hours are flexible, and we can adjust your schedule to accommodate personal preferences. Time off can be discussed and arranged as needed.
