Energy Efficiency Salespeople, Auditors, and Admin

Bright Energy Services, founded in 2009, is an energy services company that designs, develops and implements construction projects that promote energy efficiency in multiple market sectors (Commercial & Industrial, Multi-Family, Small/Medium Business). These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We are seeking qualified individuals to support multi-family, institutional, commercial, and industrial energy efficiency efforts.

Salespeople

We are growing our accounts and sales channels and are looking for salespeople who have experience with energy saving technologies, know how to build and maintain strong relationships, are great at marketing and sales, have positive attitudes, and have strong work ethics. Whether cold calling on property owners and managers, or mining your respective networks for warm leads, salespeople are required to serve as trusted energy advisors while developing both relationships and energy projects. Salespeople perform the following activities:

Source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls, site visits, networking, and emails resulting in annual closed sales of $1,000,000+

Expand upon existing sales opportunities by developing and cultivating strong customer relationships

Assess customer needs and provide support and information per customer requirements so that you can sell energy solutions (LED lighting, EV charging stations, electrification, HVAC, local law and energy code compliance, pipe insulation, etc.) to owners and managers of large multi-family, commercial, & institutional (hospitals, schools, churches, etc.) buildings.

Perform analyses of customers’ current and projected energy use and advise on the financial value proposition

Close deals and obtain signed contracts

Attend weekly sales meetings

Follow and complete assigned tasks which may include customer lead generation / qualification, sales administrative duties and sales support on an as needed basis

The right people have knowledge of energy efficiency technology, systems, and utility incentive programs. Must have excellent sales skills, and should possess strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. Must present and communicate in a professional manner (oral and written) as well as be proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have own transportation. Travel primarily within the New York Metropolitan Area.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Base $3,000/month & Commission up to 6% uncapped

Travel/Home Office Stipend: $500/month

Total Compensation: $42,000 - $102,000+/year

Lighting Auditors

We are growing our field team and need lighting auditors to conduct lighting audits and site assessments throughout front and back of house areas (interior and exterior) to develop comprehensive lighting inventories. May also conduct utility pre- and post- inspections. Must have technical knowledge of lighting technology, systems, and utility incentive programs. Must be able to perform physical tasks including but not limited to standing and walking for extended periods of time, reading and recording information on handwritten forms and computer/phone screens, using hand tools (such as, measuring devices, etc.), navigating in small/enclosed places, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in hot, warm, and cold environments as well as in bad weather. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, science, or related field. CEM or CEA accreditation (or equivalent) is a plus. EIT and PE accreditation is a plus. Must have own transportation. Travel primarily within the New York Metropolitan Area.

Compensation: $30/hourly, 24hrs+ week

Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities include writing sales proposals, energy and financial analysis, technical writing, research, and project management for multiple projects and/or customers. The candidate will interface with clients, suppliers, and the utilities (Con Edison, PSEG, etc.). This position requires flexibility; diversity of technical expertise; strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex energy-related topics clearly and succinctly to people with widely varying degrees of technological knowledge and backgrounds. Must have excellent customer care skills. Bachelor’s degree required. Work in person 3 days per week, work remotely 1 days per week.

Compensation: $25/hourly, 32hrs+ week
