Lightship Hospitality Restaurant Group is seeking experienced Surveillance team members. We are a NYC landmark and seasonal waterfront destination. Located in the Chelsea neighborhood of the Hudson River Park, we are a high volume restaurant, visited by over a half of million visitors a season. We are now hiring for the 2023 season & beyond. Looking for experienced & "licensed" surveillance team members. We have anywhere between 1000 to 3000 guests walk through our doors on a daily basis. We are on a floating barge with 2 bars, a rooftop, and large catering/event spaces.
The job includes, patrolling, checking & verifying IDs of guests and underage guests as well, monitoring guests throughout the day & evening ensuring the safety of the guests & employees, documenting accident reports, assisting the management team in the removal of guests that do not abide by our rules & regulations, providing medical care when needed, providing details on suspicious activity, other duties include walking the premises on the outside of the establishment ensuring the safety of our guests as they are leaving our restaurant ensuring that no alcohol is leaving our restaurant via our guests as per the rules of the Hudson River Park. Other duties not listed will be brought up to you during our interview & hiring process.
Mandatory qualifications are as follows:
-New York State Security Guard License
-Security Guard Certification - 8 hour pre-assignment certificate
-Security Guard Certification - 16 hour pre-assignment certificate
-All security guards are required to complete an 8 Hour Pre-Assignment Training Course prior to applying to the Department of State for a Security Guard Registration Card.
-Certificate of fitness from the FDNY F-03 or F-04
-1 year of experience in retail, restaurants, or bar surveillance
-Ability to maintain composure, and remain level headed when dealing with patrons that may be intoxicated
-Ability to de escalate any situation without using any physical force
-Ability to walk/patrol for more than 6 hours in an outdoor environment (we are on a barge on the Hudson River)
-Acceptable references
