Brooklyn Fiber, a leading independent Internet Service Provider serving the New York City area, is currently seeking a qualified Network Technician / Low Voltage Installer to join our team. This role requires hands-on experience with structured cabling, network design, and routing, as well as the ability to lead installations in commercial and residential settings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in low voltage systems and network infrastructure, and will have previously held a leadership position such as job foreman or project lead. A high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and accountability is expected in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and terminate Cat6 and fiber optic cabling in accordance with industry standards
- Mount and configure radios, access points, switches, and network hardware
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot network routing and switching environments
- Lead job site operations, coordinate with subcontractors, and manage project timelines
- Ensure all installations are completed neatly, labeled correctly, and meet code requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in low voltage cabling and network installation
- Proficiency in network configuration, routing, and structured cabling systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage job sites and installation crews is highly preferred
- Comfortable working in field environments, including rooftops and telecom spaces
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA 30 and/or SST certification strongly preferred
