Job Summary
The z/OS Systems Engineer in the mainframe IT organization plays a central role. The Systems Engineer is responsible for the installation, customization and maintenance of the Mainframe operating system, ISV support software and Hardware configuration, which execute the Corporate Financial Applications.
The systems engineering team is responsible for providing 24/7 system availability. The systems engineer provides systems support to the Mainframe Operations, Production Services and Business Applications development teams.
General tasks and responsibilities will include:
Supporting two Mainframe servers (Production and Disaster Recovery.
Working on hardware and software system upgrades and changes in configuration.
Initiating and supporting system IPL requests as needed.
Keeping operating system documentation updated.
Debugging problems with system software.
Performing HCD gens for hardware changes.
Maintainin disaster recover rocedures.
