Cloud Security Engineer

This is a full-time, direct hire role paying an annual base salary of $130K to $185K plus bonus and AWESOME benefits. This role will also allow for a hybrid work schedule with 1-2 days a week remote.

• Take responsibility for the security posture of a fast paced, cloud native, innovative software startup, with an emphasis on attack prevention.
• Evaluate, plan, deploy, and operate a variety of cyber security systems, to help mitigate security weaknesses.
• Represent the Security team regarding the implementation of security controls and architectures.
• Conduct proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies.
• Identify current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats.
• Take part in compliance and regulation efforts (e.g. HIPAA, SOC2, ISO27001).

• 4+ years of technical hands-on experience in cybersecurity role(s).
• 1+ years of technical hands-on experience in DevOps / networking / system / infra.
• Comprehensive understanding of the cyber security landscape.
• Deep understanding of how information systems and infrastructure work.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Independent: strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent team player able to work with global cross functional teams.

• Experience in Google Cloud Platform or AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Relevant certification, e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, CASP+.
