About the Role - Your primary responsibility will be to manage our preorder program from start to finish. This position not only requires detail oriented work on excel, but also getting your hands dirty (and cold) in our warehouse to insure that product arrives, and goes out in perfect condition.
Responsibilities
-Compiling all salesperson orders on Air, Boat, Domestic, Special Holiday, and other preorders onto their respective excel spreadsheets
-Using those spreadsheets to submit PO’s accurately and on time to each vendor
-Work with our promotions department to insure all promotional pricing is applied to the correct PO’s
-Relentlessly following up to ensure all vendors confirm receipt of PO
-Comparing shipping documents to original PO’s to reconcile any shorts or errors, before product arrives.
-Communicating to the sales team any shorts or other issues
-Insuring the correct product arrives in perfect condition, and correct quantities, while reaching out to the vendor if anything is not satisfactory.
-Entering all preorder sales order tickets before product arrives.
-Confirming all product is shipped out to customers and none is left behind. If any product is left in the warehouse, you will track down which order it was left off from.
-Work with sales team to find homes for product that arrived damage, or was sent in error. This will include going into our warehouse to inspect incoming product, current inventory, and special orders.
-Reaching out to vendors for product spec sheets and new item forms
-Gathering info for recalls or other quality control issues that must be reported to the vendor
-Entering sales orders
-Filling out new item paperwork
-Handling customer service issues such as returns
Required Skills
Be extremely neat and organized

Be proficient in excel (advanced skills are even better
Extremely reliable, responsible, & consistent
Be able to work on site in Armonk, NY.
A background in cheese is not required, but will help. A love of cheese/food is also a huge plus, as we love working with people that are as excited about our products as we are, and a true passion for cheese will only increase the chances that you will see this as an exciting career, and not just another job.
Pay range and compensation package - Starting Salary is $60,000/year -Annual reviews will occur around the end of the first quarter. 401K plan with 4% match is available after 1 year. Paid time off benefits start after 60 days. They include vacation after 6 months, personal days, and major holidays. Medical benefits for one person (oxford) eligibility starts after 90 days of employment (80% paid by employer). 2 weeks vacation and 5 personal days per year (this will be prorated for your first year).
After 60 days of employment the following paid holidays include New Years: 1.5 days, Presidents day, Good Friday (half day), Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas (1.5 days).
Note, we are a seasonal business, vacation time during the months of November and December and immediately before or after major cheese holidays is not an option.
