Job Overview: We are looking for a diligent and customer-focused Cashier to join our team for the holiday season until the end of the year. Can translate into a longer term contract based on performance.
The hours are specifically: 4-6 hours per night on Thurs/Fri/Saturday. Do not apply if you are not available at this time.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cash transactions, ensuring accurate pricing, and providing exceptional customer service to our patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Handling:
Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Provide customers with receipts and return the appropriate change as needed.
Customer Service:
Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding products.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally and ensure customer satisfaction.
Regulatory Compliance:
Verify customer IDs to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for purchasing alcohol.
Adhere to all local and state regulations regarding the sale of alcohol.
Store Maintenance:
Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
Restock shelves and cooler areas as needed.
Assist with inventory counts and product pricing.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth store operations.
Communicate any issues or discrepancies to the store manager promptly.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old (to handle alcoholic products).
Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus.
Familiarity with POS systems.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Must pass a background check.
