We are a new-ish wine & spirits shop on the UWS, known for small-production selections and a warm, personal approach. Our mission is to simplify the world of wine — making it easier to explore, easier to find what you love, and to build community along the way. As we grow– expanding our wine club and launching ecommerce–we’re looking for a thoughtful, organized General Manager to lead daily operations, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and help lay the groundwork for what’s next.
Responsibilities:
+Lead day-to-day store operations and ensure a warm, knowledgeable customer experience through staff management
+Maintain a clean, inviting, and efficient store environment
+Manage daily purchasing and coordinate with distributors to keep the selection balanced and seasonal
+Oversee inventory systems, receiving, backstock organization, and bimonthly physical counts
+Build and refine operational workflows to support ecommerce and wine club fulfillment
Qualifications:
+3–5 (or more) years of wine retail or hospitality experience, including staff management and purchasing responsibilities
+Solid wine knowledge and a love for making wine feel accessible (certification welcome but not required)
+Strong organizational skills, a calm problem-solver, and confident with tools like POS and spreadsheets
+Comfortable working both on the floor and behind the scenes
+Clear communicator and team-oriented leader
