Accounts Receivable Specialist
Growing Manhattan based Real Estate Firm is seeking an experienced Residential Accounts Receivable Specialist to oversee a portfolio of market walk-up rental properties in NYC. Potential candidate must have a minimum of 4+ years of experience with residential properties in New York City. Proficiency in Yardi is a must. Residential l Accounts Receivable Specialist. Primary responsibilities include focusing on collecting revenue including: reviewing lease abstracts to ensure billings are setup correctly, creating billback charges, applying cash receipts, following up with tenants regarding collections, calculating percentage rents and billing tenants for those charges.
Qualifications
Experience managing accounts receivables in a residential property management setting.
Experience with property accounting software, Yardu is advantageous.
Responsibilities
Responsible for collection of all rents.
Ensure correct billings per tenant leases; makes adjustment in accounting software as needed, ensures tenants receive monthly statements.
Draft and send tenant annual escalation notices.
Track Date of Possession to Rent Commencement Date; draft and send RCD notice.
Prepare monthly bill back and rent charges for property manager’s review and approval.
Follow up with tenants on outstanding rents and document all collections efforts in Yardi; escalates issues to supervisor as directed.
Apply cash receipts to charges and communicate with Property Accounting to review/post daily
Receive sales reporting from tenants monthly and process percentage rent.
Understand and review RPIE (Real Property Income and Expense)
Draft and send tenant communication necessary to administer tenant leases.
Additional responsibilities and adhoc assignments as needed.
