Architecture firm seeking-full time, in-person, Full-Charge Bookkeeper.

Position: Full Charge Bookkeeper

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable

o Follow-up with internal and external parties to create invoices and ensure final billings are received on time

o Manage proposal process additional services on contracts in hand

Accounts Payable

o Review vendor statements and address any discrepancies

o Review of bills annually to look for potential cost savings

Human Resources

o Process payroll

o Maintain employee files on server, in Ajera & provider websites;

o Administration and maintenance of employee benefits

o Employee onboarding and offboarding

o Ensure completion of timesheets are done accurately and on time

General accounting activities for the company

o Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process

o Bank and credit card reconciliations

o Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements

o Provide updates to Controller on status of firm’s finances.

Compliance

o Assist in Year-end audit

o Maintain vendor files and process 1096/1099s annually

o Insurance

o Contracts

Report directly to Controller and Principal

Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned

Desired Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree a must

3-5 years of relevant experience with A&E; government client a plus

Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills, proficiency in ERP Software, Deltek’s Ajera software experience a plus

Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive interaction with clients and vendors for accurate and complex billing structures

Familiarity with employee benefit administration

Able to work independently to meet deadlines

A "can-do", positive attitude; proactive and resourceful

Highly efficient and responsible, very detailed oriented and organized

Ability to work well under pressure

Ability to take direction well

Excellent communication and problem solving skills and ability to gain cooperation of others

Willingness to streamline current processes and implement improvements
