Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Assistant Dispatcher to serve as a communication point for both emergency and non-emergency apartment repair calls. This role involves receiving service requests, transmitting messages, and generating work orders.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to stay calm under pressure, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Spanish fluency is required.
Responsibilities:
Answer and document emergency and non-emergency service calls
Transmit information and provide solutions or escalate as needed
Dispatch maintenance staff and generate work orders
Prioritize requests based on urgency
Use phone and computer systems regularly (Yardi system preferred)
Monitor work order progress and field staff scheduling
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and call activity in the system
Requirements & Skills:
Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role preferred
Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and data entry
Fast and accurate typing skills
Familiarity with emergency response procedures
Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Strong judgment and decision-making abilities
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)
Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
Must work on-site (no remote work)
