Concern Housing is seeking an overnight counselor to be primarily responsible for the overall monitoring and safety of the residents and the site.
Position: Overnight Counselor
Location: Brooklyn, NY - Coney Island (Surf Vets)
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 12am-8am
Salary: $41,600/yr.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read log for updates, instructions, and assignments
Filing, organizing charts, photocopying, etc., as assigned and/or as needed
Provide brief counseling, as needed; redirect to core staff when appropriate
Crisis intervention, as needed
Weekly medication counts; check for accuracy and corresponding documentation
Perform hourly walk-throughs of site during your shift
Participate in monitoring of medication, as needed
Attend site’s monthly staff meetings
Attend agency forums
Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings
Requirements: Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least two years of experience in a similar role.
