ABOUT US
We are a millwork and general fabrication shop in the Greenpoint/Williamsburg area, handling projects from high-end residential to retail and commercial. We build highly custom free-standing and built-in pieces, working in wood and metal.
We are looking for a skilled metal worker to help expand our metal fabrication team. Pay is competitive based on experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field
- Proficient in welding techniques, including Stick, Tig, Mig Welding
- Familiarity with operating relevant machining tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and cuts
- Basic math skills for calculations related to fabrication work
- Metal finishing experience a plus
- Experience on Mills and Lathes a plus
DUTIES
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and products according to blueprints and specifications
- Operate various tools and equipment such as welding machines, benders, etc
- Perform welding tasks using different techniques such [primarily TIG and MIG]
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Use basic math skills to measure, cut, and shape metal materials
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
