Do you like to sew, knit, cross stitch, or do home craft projects? If yes, we have an opportunity for a Machine Operator-Wire Drawer position and we are willing to train. Sigmund Cohn Corp. is a leading manufacturing company that serves a variety of industries including medical device, aerospace, semi-conductor, automobile, temperature sensing, and thermocouple. The Wire Drawer operator will perform repetitive workstation or line production operations to produce wires using various process procedures, equipment, and materials.
Job Duties:
Operating machines that draw wire through dyes to achieve requirement measurement
Visually inspect wire under magnification to verify correct specification
Frequent walking between machines to check on production status (works multiple machines at the same time)
Follow standard operating procedures (verbal and written)
Follow safety protocols
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Initiate or participate in continuous improvement
May include cross training on other production machines
Skills Required:
Strong communication skills, along with ability to read/interpret written instructions in English
Conduct basic math calculations using a handheld calculator
Detail and process oriented
Ability to lift 10 lbs
Strong fine motor skills and hand dexterity for drawing wire
Ability to stand for long periods and walk up and down stairs (no elevator)
Repetitive hand and wrist motions while drawing line and performing operations
Positive, flexible, and focused attitude, with emphasis on a can do, hands-on approach
Ø Competitive hourly rate (varies based on experience): $18 -$22 per hour
