We have some great projects to build. We need help us get them done.
The work here is highly creative; there is never a dull day at our studio. Our teams are: Design, Props, Mechanical Animation, Scenic Painting, Carpentry, Sculpting, Figure Molding/Casting. There is opportunity to cross over between departments; multi-disciplinary artists are the best fit here.
YOU MIGHT BE A FIT ON OUR TEAM IF YOU. . .
o Like to spend your day building and creating
o Have large portions of the McMaster-Carr catalog memorized
o Took apart a broken when you were eight years old and fixed it
o Can identify a 3/8 - 16 bolt by sight from across the room
o Have a high tolerance for ambiguity and are willing to learn on the job; we never do the same thing twice
o Have a high energy personality, the kind of person who likes to "get it done NOW"
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
o An artistic eye in your work everything is custom and much of our work is theatrical in nature Experience with educational exhibit, stage set, and/or themed attraction construction
o Reading blueprints, sourcing the right materials for the job
o Carpentry and layout skills.
o Advanced mechanical knowledge and experience building things that move
OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE INCLUDE
o Acrylic Fabrication Experience
o Mechanical Experience
o Welding
o Practical electrical wiring
o Audio visual experience
o Proficiency with a computer: Word, Excel, email, web browsing
