The Position:
Utley's is seeking to fill several positions specializing in color matching / spraying
From less experienced to managerial, a GREAT color eye, and knowledge of how to create and shift colors are essential. As well as attention to detail and problem solving are a must
Primarily matching paints and dyes for spraying and application, with HVLP and airbrush. In addition knowledge of transfer/presstype production, application and deco application is essential.

The position would require the candidate to match colors by eye, and using a color system, secondarily spray, mask, sand, polish and buff models, machined parts (acrylic and aluminum), 3D prints, and urethane castings, using various tools and machinery, apply deco and transfers etc.
The hours would be 8am to 4.45pm Monday through Friday plus overtime (which is sometimes required early morning or weekend). Overtime is paid after 40 hours each week at 1.5 time rate.
Compensation will be hourly and competitive. With overtime paid, a 401k with discretionary matching and full health insurance also provided.
The Candidate:
Experience in the field of color matching, finishing (sanding and polishing) or spraying (lacquer based or polyurethane based) a strong plus.
The candidate will be detail oriented, will be able to take direction well, and thrive in a busy and high pace environment, and HAVE A GREAT EYE FOR COLOR
The candidate should be punctual and reliable, this position will be a key part of the team, and requires both good verbal communication skills and the ability to read a job write up and translate it into actionable tasks.
English must be of an excellent standard (if not a first language).
Candidate must be a US resident.

The company is based in Queens, in a 16,000 sq. ft facility with 40 full time employees.
Utley's houses a comprehensive range of services, such as additive and subtractive manufacturing, including high speed multi-axis machining and rapid prototyping; RTV mold and casting, digital color matching and color correct printing, box comps, assembly and fabrication, finishing, custom color matching and spraying, and a CAD department to support and facilitate these actives.
