Putnams Pub is looking for a creative and energetic Digital Media Manager to join our team. The role includes maintaining and managing our entire digital footprint including but not limited to current website, google business suite, 3PD Apps & social media platforms and also developing newer platforms to help grow our online presence and drive traffic to our ecommerce channels and to our brick & mortar restaurant.

This is a part time, IN PERSON position and we're estimating approx. 5-7 hours a week so its ideal for someone to add us to your existing client list. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN NEW YORK. REMOTE CANDIDATES WILL NOT be considered. We need someone who can come to the store on a semi regular basis to gather content and have monthly meetings. The ideal candidate should know how to create exciting content that will help our guests stay in touch and engaged with us, be someone with knowledge of the food and beverage industry and have a great eye for design.

The position will be responsible for maintaining cool, unique, interesting and progressive social media content. They will develop and execution organic social media strategies across all social platforms creating compelling messaging that encourages engagement, drives traffic, and increases awareness. This candidate should have experience in scheduling posts and designing ads that are on brand, as well as a baseline understanding of digital marketing—both paid and organic. Time management skills are crucial as well as excellent attention-to-detail, and strong organizational and communication skills. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude.

Responsibilities:

Serves as community manager for our social media by monitoring all feeds, responding to and/or routing inquiries to the appropriate internal team, and facilitating conversations with our audiences to build relationships and enhance the sense of community, including social media influencer management.

Manage social media editorial calendar process including review requests, develop calendar, create engaging and compelling content (including copy and visuals) that follow brand guidelines and voice, as well as scheduling content in publishing tools.

Communicate and respond to all social media inquiries and posts and engagements.

Keep our existing website current and update it when necessary

Manage our Google Business Suite listing

Manage our 3rd Party Delivery platforms, keeping them current and up to date

Have a good knowledge and understanding of the Tech industry and how we can use new technology to improve our digital footprint.

Experience:

Knowledge of food & beverage photography.

Experience building and growing social media communities

Understanding of all social media platforms and tech apps, including but not limited to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Tick Tock, BentoBox, GrubHub, Doordash, Uber Eats, Resy

Strong writing, editing and communication skills, including understanding the nuances of writing for the different social media platforms.

Ability to work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines, and adhere to brand identity and editorial standards

Understanding of owned, earned and paid media and managing and paid media
