We are filling multiple positions for a Case Reviewer / Adjudicator.
Position Overview: We are seeking detail-oriented individuals to serve as Case Reviewers/Adjudicators at our Migrant Legal-Aid site in Manhattan, NYC. Case Reviewers/Adjudicators will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of migrant cases, adjudicating cases, and maintaining accurate case records. Proficiency in multiple languages is highly desirable to facilitate communication with our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough reviews of migrant cases to identify legal issues and potential remedies.
Adjudicate cases in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Communicate decisions to clients and provide explanations as needed.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records and documentation.
Collaborate with Legal Supervisors and other team members to resolve complex cases.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in law, social sciences, or a related field.
Experience in case review, adjudication, or legal assistance preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and attention to detail.
Multi-lingual proficiency preferred. Please note, the primary languages preferred for bi-lingual or multi-lingual representatives are Arabic, French, Spanish, Russian, and Wolof.
