Seeking Experienced Immigration / Family Court Paralegal

Our firm represents immigrants and their families in both routine and complex immigration matters.

We are seeking to hire a bilingual (English/Spanish) paralegal with 1 year or more of immigration and/or family court experience. You should be familiar with both affirmative and defensive immigration applications such as I-130, I-589, 42-B, I-360 I-485, I765, and I601A, as well as the general immigration court process and immigration court practice manual. Alternatively, you should be familiar with family court guardianship and custody process, related forms as they relate to Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.

Our office is located in a 24/7 doorman office building in Kew Gardens, Queens. The building is conveniently located near major highways and adjacent to the E/F subway stop for Union Turnpike/Kew Gardens.

Primary Duties include:

##Meeting with clients to complete various immigration forms and family court petitions;

##Filing applications, supporting evidence and motion packages with the Court ahead of hearings;

##Tracking hearing dates and filing deadlines;

##Responding to court orders and requests for evidence; and

Skills:

Our ideal candidate is very well organized, comfortable multi-tasking and working under pressure, takes pride in their work, and genuinely enjoys helping those less fortunate.

## Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.

## Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel and Google Office Suite

Salary:

$20-30/hr commensurate with experience. Flexible hours. Paid time off.
