We're now looking for a part-time associate attorney to join us and, hopefully, to become full-time as we ramp up. The pay is $25/hr.
Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research
Interview clients and witnesses
Draft, review, and edit contracts
Plan out case strategy
Draft pleadings
Argue motions
Take depositions
Try cases (from time to time)
The main requirement is that you can be entrepreneurial, flexible, and resourceful. You also must be highly organized by nature. We need to get difficult things done quickly and on budget. It helps if you have a network of experienced attorneys willing to answer questions or are good at building relationships quickly because issues you have new issues frequently arise, and you'll need strategic advice, which is hard to find in a book.
Details:
Fully remote except when you need to argue in person or we have a lunch meeting
Flexible hours, minimal to start, but you should be willing to stick with us as we ramp up our operations
