Law Firm is searching for a Paralegal with experience and knowledge with Medical Malpractice/Personal Injury; placement in Stamford, CT
The right candidate must be a self-motivator, a team player, diligent, and possess a high work ethic.
Paralegal Responsibilities:
Must have experience/knowledge of medical malpractice - personal Injury
Assist with taking cases
Analyze documents
Summarizes deposition transcripts, medical records, medical bills
Drafts standard correspondence and other legal documents
Communicate with Experts
Prepare documents for expert review
Maintain, review and request medical records
Draft medical chronologies
Knowledge of E-filing procedures (prepare and draft documents)
Maintain/organize case files as needed
Prepare attorney(s) for mediations, depositions, hearings and trial.
Prepare trial documents, pleadings, binders etc.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
Ability to multi-task
Works well under pressure and meets deadlines
Knowledge of Local, State and Federal Court Systems
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word
3 - 5 Years experience with Medical Malpractice / Personal Injury Law
