Paralegal Wanted.

Boutique Midtown NYC based immigration firm, operating for more than 20+ years, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. We handle all types of immigration matters-business, family, asylum/removal, etc. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of immigration experience-including all stages of PERM process and familiarity with other IV and NIV matters. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently-both independently and in team settings.

Duties.

Independently handle and support team in preparing and filing PERM cases, immigration applications and petitions, including but not limited to family-based petitions, employment-based visas, and naturalization applications.

Communicate with clients to gather necessary information for case preparation. Transcribe legal documents and maintain accurate records of client interactions.

Manage legal case files through effective document review and organization.

Draft legal correspondence and documents, ensuring clarity and compliance with relevant laws.

Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed, including coordinating/handling client queries, scheduling appointments and managing calendars. Stay updated on changes in immigration law and procedures to provide informed support.

Experience

-At least 2+ years immigration experience

-Must be able to efficiently handle PERM matters from inception to filing and certification

-Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, including document management and case tracking.

-Strong skills in legal drafting, proofreading, and document review are essential.

-Familiarity with legal case management software (INS Zoom) is a plus.

-Excellent communication skills to effectively gather information from clients.

-Ability to work independently while also being a team player within the legal department.
