We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our family law attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services. Success in this role requires excellent oral and written communication skills, as you will regularly interact with both clients and attorneys. You must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and coordinate various case-related activities effectively. A conscientious approach to your work is critical, as attention to detail and thoroughness ensure that cases are handled with the care they deserve.

Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in drafting, organizing, and filing legal documents for divorce, child custody, and other family law cases.
Manage and update client files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for case preparation.
Handle client communication, including answering phones, scheduling consultations, and responding to client inquiries.
Prepare and submit documents through NYSCEF (New York State Courts Electronic Filing).
Maintain logs of closed cases and update active client case and trial lists.
Assist in preparing attorneys for court appearances by organizing necessary files and documents.
Perform general administrative tasks, including copying, faxing, and scanning documents.
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to interact effectively with clients and attorneys.
Ability to multi-task and manage several ongoing assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented and conscientious, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in legal documentation and administrative tasks.
Critical thinking skills to analyze issues and support problem-solving in legal matters.
Highly organized, with the ability to keep track of multiple cases and deadlines.
Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and balance priorities.
Proactive in taking initiative to complete tasks without prompting.
Prior experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law, is highly desirable.
Proficiency with NYSCEF and legal document management systems is a plus.
