Law Firm Seeking Part-Time Bookkeeper

The Law Offices of Patrick A. Mullin is a boutique tax defense and white-collar criminal defense law firm which is seeking a part-time experienced law firm Bookkeeper to work onsite at its Fort Lee, New Jersey and New York City offices. The applicant must also be available to work in both our Fort Lee and Manhattan offices and must have transportation available to both offices.

The job functions will include, among other things, legal billing and bookkeeping.

The ideal candidate should have experience in a Bookkeeper role, preferably in a law firm environment, and should be highly reliable, personable and punctual, organized, and skilled with the use of computers and technology, including both Apple and PC products, TimeSlips billing software, Quicken bookkeeping software, and Abacus legal software.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a Graduate Degree preferred, along with a minimum of three (3) strong professional references and experience working as a Bookkeeper.

In addition, the following skills are required:

· High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Apple products, TimeSlips billing software, Quicken, and Abacus legal software

· High level of proficiency with computers and technology

· Extensive knowledge of law office billing practices

· Extensive knowledge of office phone systems and copier/scanner functions

· Excellent people and communication skills and a high level of reliability and organization

· Above all else, must be a person of character and maturity and highly trustworthy
