About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team in Vancouver. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in construction site management, a commitment to safety, and the ability to lead a team while keeping projects on schedule and within budget. This role is active and on-site, requiring candidates to have practical building experience, particularly in carpentry and concrete work, and to provide their own tools for daily use.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure work is completed according to project plans, timelines, and quality standards

Coordinate and supervise trades, subcontractors, and on-site personnel

Work hands-on alongside the crew as needed, demonstrating skills in carpentry, concrete, and other building tasks

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies

Conduct site meetings, maintain daily reports, and track progress against project milestones

Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders

Monitor and manage site inventory, deliveries, and materials

Identify and troubleshoot issues that may affect timelines or quality

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role on custom home builds and/or residential renovations

Proven portfolio of completed custom residential or commercial projects; references and project photos required

Practical experience in forming, framing (including timber work), cladding, soffits, flashing, and concrete work

Must have active building skills and be comfortable working on tools

Must supply own set of tools appropriate for on-site construction work

Deep knowledge of BC Building Code, construction practices, and safety regulations

Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications with a high degree of accuracy

Confident communicator, comfortable coordinating with architects, designers, and clients

Proficiency with project management tools such as Bluebeam/Acrobat, Microsoft Project, Co-Construct, or similar

Valid BC Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and a smartphone
