We are a Brooklyn-based moving company looking to add drivers and movers to our team.
We are a fast-paced team in a super competitive industry, in which customers have high expectations and every day requires a high level of attention to detail, skillfulness, efficiency, a positive attitude, teamwork, energy, and professionalism.
Applicants for the driver role must have a valid driver's license and be prepared to provide a driver's abstract. To be eligible to drive our trucks, you must have a clean driver's abstract and you must have experience driving 20-foot box trucks in NYC. The driver role requires not only driving, but also working as one of the movers. Even if you are a good driver, if you do not perform well as a mover, it will not work out.
Although we provide a certain amount of training (more than most companies), most of this job is about basic common sense, commitment to our standards and our customers, being physically conditioned enough to handle the physical labor of the job, and having a positive, can-do attitude.
You must be fully authorized to work in the U.S, able to carry 75 lbs up and down flights of stairs (sometimes many times in a given day), and have strong attendance and punctuality because we do not tolerate call-outs or habits of lateness or last-minute availability changes.
We do not tolerate any usage of intoxicants including marijuana/THC products. Any evidence of smoking or being high at work, in our vehicles, or on our property, would result in your dismissal.
With tips included, full-time drivers earn on average between $800-1,400 per week. It depends on how busy we are and how many jobs you work on in a given week.
With tips included, full-time movers earn on average between $600-1,200 per week. It depends on how busy we are and how many jobs you work on in a given week.
If you are interested in this position AND if you can meet our requirements as explained above, we would love to meet you, so please email us the following information and we will get back to you to schedule an in-person interview at our warehouse:
1. Your full legal name.
2. Are you a US citizen? If not, what kind of work authorization do you have?
3. A basic summary of your relevant work history. (Resumes are welcome but not required.)
4. (For Driver applicants) How many points (if any) do you have on your current driver's abstract, and have you been in any accidents in the last four years?
