AM Glass Inc. is looking to hire an experienced metal and glass foreman. The ideal candidate should assume the following responsibilities.
Measure and install curtain wall and storefront systems, glass, mirrors, doors, windows and metal panels systems
Conduct accurate field layout and measuring
Coordinate crews, and plan logistics and operations
Complete daily route sheets, and daily reports as required
Follow safety procedures and use appropriate tools and equipment to complete installations
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure accurate measurements and proper installation
The candidate should possess the following qualifications & skills
Proven experience as a glazier or in a similar role
Proficient in using tools and equipment specific to glazing work
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
Strong attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during installations
Ability to lead a crew
Physical ability to work with ladders, scaffolding and related equipment required for installation.
Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology
Knowledge of construction techniques and processes
Ability to oversee construction projects from start to finish
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and schematics
NYC certificates and cards to work
62 hours SST (Required)
4 hours supporting scaffolding (Required)
Licenses to drive: Forklift, Boom lift, scissor lift (Required)
32 hours supporting scaffolding (Preferred)
16 hours suspending scaffolding (Preferred)
32 hours suspending scaffolding (Preferred)
32 hours rigging supervisor (Preferred)
Fire Watch certificate (Preferred)
Glass Manipulator certificate (Preferred)
Spider Crane certificate (Preferred)
