POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and creative individual with at least 3 years’ experience working on cold salad stations to join our culinary team as a Line Cook for our catering facility. This position is responsible for the preparation of cold dishes, salads, and appetizers, as well as the presentation of these items. This role requires a strong understanding in culinary techniques, attention to detail, and a passion for creating beautiful presentations and delicious dishes.
RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES:
Prep, prepare and assemble a variety of cold dishes, salads, and appetizers for large catering venues according to recipes and
established standards.
Create visually appealing presentations of cold dishes, utilizing garnishes, sauces, and artistic plating techniques.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPIERENCE AND SKILLS
Strong knowledge of cold food preparation techniques, including salad composition, dressing, and garnishing.
The ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced kitchen environment, while maintaining quality and consistency.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining a hygienic work environment.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to Work together as a team
WORK SCHEDULE: Weekdays and Weekends - Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Full Time / Part Time Seasonal.
HOURLY RATE: $17
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
Stand for extended periods (8 TO 10 hours) and work in a fast-paced environment.
Lift and carry heavy objects, such as boxes of ingredients or pots/pans, weighing up to 20 pounds.
