Responsibilities of the position include:
Work closely with Dispatch manager to coordinate time down for vehicles
Must have knowledge of routine mechanical on vehicles (tune ups/oil change/brake jobsetc.)
Manage and be available for non-emergency fleet vehicle services
Manage and follow up with our Forklift maintenance contracts
Maintain proper digital record keeping for fleet
Maintain clean, safe, and organized working environment
Ensure proper fleet positioning and security each evening
Cross Train w/other departments in yard
Build and maintain trusting relationships with employees and other department heads contributing to a positive team environment
Schedule: M-F, 7:00AM - 4:00PM (1 hour lunch)
Required skills and qualifications:
1+ years experience working in similar position
Clean NY driving record
Excellent dependability
Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
Team player with professional communication skills
Able to lift 50lbs
Mechanical experience necessary
