Job Title: Door & Closet Installer and Warehouse Manager – Interior Doors & Home Organization Solutions Company

Location: Bayside Warehouse + Field (Installations in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Potential for Westchester , Fairfield and Dutchess Counties)

Compensation: Hourly, based on experience (with potential to grow into Full-Time)

Employment Type: Part-Time Independent Contractor, (with potential to grow into Full-Time)

About Us

One Day Doors and Closets of New York is part of the largest interior door and closet company in North America. We offer homeowners a clean, no-mess, high-tech alternative to traditional installations—leveraging advanced 3D measuring and factory pre-finishing for precise results. As we rapidly grow throughout NYC, we’re looking for skilled and organized Installer/Warehouse Managers to join our team.

What You’ll Do

Install digitally-measured, factory-finished interior doors and custom closet systems in customers’ homes.

Receive, inspect, and organize pallets of doors and home organizers at our Bayside showroom.

Cross-check incoming inventory (doors + closets, as well as all hardware) against paperwork to ensure accuracy before installations.

Manage the warehouse along with other team members: maintain clean, labeled, and organized storage of hardware and door/closet orders.

Prepare and load the truck with all materials needed for each day’s installation.

Lead or assist on installations alongside another team member.

Work closely with our sales team to ensure each customer has a smooth, informed experience from order to install.

Troubleshoot on-site issues professionally and efficiently, maintaining a calm customer presence. (This is where your skills will shine!)

Converse with the customer and give accurate assessment of the job live during installs.

Who You Are

Hands-on and experienced in carpentry, finish work, or general contracting (closet or door installation experience a strong plus).

Organized and detail-oriented, with solid warehouse or inventory management skills. If you haven’t done this before, you’re willing to learn and you follow directions well.

Personable and professional—you’re comfortable engaging with homeowners and collaborating with team members alike.

Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering large doors and closet components.

Proactive, dependable, and solution-oriented—able to anticipate needs and adapt quickly.

Available at least 2–3 days per week, with flexibility as business expands.

Comfortable working both in homes and in a warehouse environment.

What We Offer

Opportunity to grow with a premium national brand in a high-demand, low-competition market.

Innovative products and systems that, while still very hands-on, make installation faster and cleaner than traditional methods.

Training, support, and ongoing mentorship.

Competitive pay with growth potential as our footprint expands.
