Our client, a prestigious cancer center and research facility is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Advisor for a long term HYBRID role.

Must have 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience, skilled at coaching/consultation and conflict resolution. Previous experience in healthcare organization is a plus.

The Sr. Employee Relations Advisor provides expertise and case management of ER issues, from initial intake to resolution, to clients across the organization. Engages with various levels of employees and management to provide guidance, and influences stakeholders in making decisions that align with company policies, practices, and values that foster an equitable and inclusive environment. Manages cases that are often complex, sensitive and require leveraging common practices and processes to ensure fair and consistent treatment.

Job Responsibilities: Serves as the point of contact to employees, managers and HR Business Partners to resolve a variety of complaints and concerns that impact the employee experience.

ER case work includes: gathering and analyzing facts, applying relevant laws, policies and past practice to reach conclusions and recommendations.

Provides expertise, consultation, guidance and coaching to managers to address employee behavior and performance concerns; provides guidance and assists with the development and delivery of appropriate feedback or corrective/disciplinary actions, which aligns with company policies, practices and values.

Leads various processes including but not limited to workplace accommodations, leave management and involuntary separations.

Serves as facilitator for all employee grievances of employment actions and practices

Assists and mentors Employee Relations Advisors on complex ER issues.

Develops and delivers training for relevant stakeholders to mitigate employee and manager risk and build leadership capability.

Project Management Serves as a project lead or team member in the conceptualization, development and execution of projects and deliverables that support achievement of HRBP/ER departmental and client goals. 

Assesses the impact of project outcomes on goals. 

Aligns or realigns deliverables with project outcomes. 

Proactively identifies, addresses and/or escalates project challenges/risks. 

Sets appropriate goals and defines metrics to measure effectiveness of efforts. 

Provides guidance and feedback to project team members on the completion of project objectives, project coordination, and project interdependencies. 

Designs and/or implements stakeholder management, change management and communications plans. 

Information Management

Maintains required documentation, including intake and investigative notes, supporting documents and final reports supported by detailed, understandable and auditable documentation.

Tracks, reports and analyzes case trends utilizing a technology-based case management system.

Collaborates with key partners on ER data insights, trends and opportunities for proactive solutions.

Requirements

Education - Bachelors Degree required

4-7 years of experience as HR Business Partner or Employee Relations

7-10 yeas of relevant experience accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree
