Legal Recruitment Manager - For top tier global law firm in New York, NY.

All interviews and work is remote during COVID office shutdown. This position can be hybrid - 3 - 4 days a week remote after office reopens.

This position is responsible for managing lawyer recruitment for the NY office.

The Manager collaborates closely with the NY hiring partners and summer program committee members, and reports to the Director of Legal Recruiting/Professional Development.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Together with the Director, advances hiring strategies supporting summer associate, entry level, and lateral associate recruitment efforts. Manages campus recruitment efforts including law school outreach, branding, and networking events. Travels to on-campus events as needed. Manages candidate call-back interview process. In coordination with Legal Recruiting Assistant, organizes/confirms interview schedules and arrangements, and approves final schedules for distribution to lawyer interviewers. Manages post-offer activities, including the coordination of offer dinners, and arranging return visits for candidates with offers. Works closely with the assistant to plan Summer Associate social events/educational programs. Attends Summer Associate events and other firm sponsored recruiting events. Manages recruitment of lateral associate candidates. Collaborates with Legal Recruiting Managers firm wide to strategically plan and identify improvement in processes and procedures. Monitors local market and stays informed with current market trends and law firm news. Oversees legal recruiting staff members. Provides special project support as needed

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required. A J.D. or an advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus. Must have 3+ years of coordinating/managing law firm lawyer recruitment programs. High attention to detail, exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, professional demeanor and presentation; ability to interact effectively with candidates, all levels of Firm personnel and a variety of external clients. Provide outstanding client service, meet high quality standards for services and meet or exceed client expectations. Superior judgment and discretion; ability to handle confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information. Proficiency in MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint. Fluency with viRecruit (preferred), or a similar recruiting database/software. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Some travel required.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
