Technician/Medical Assistant needed for Ophthalmologist's office Monday afternoons, and Friday mornings. (Staten Island)
We are searching for an individual with a background in ophthalmology to help support our team .
Previous experience or training in a medical office and/or the ophthalmic field preferred, but, we are willing to train someone with good people skills, and work ethic.
Prospective candidates must be willing and able to learn new skills quickly. The right candidate will enjoy multi-tasking since responsibilities will vary depending on time of day.
Pleasant personality and patience is a must. Must maintain a professional appearance and courteous, professional, and personable demeanor. Must be reliable, detail oriented and be able to follow direction.
Primary duties include:·
Taking down information from patients·
Performing basic diagnostic ophthalmic tests under general direction such as checking visual acuities, visual field testing , etc.·
Preparing exam rooms, assisting doctor with various procedures·
Performing other duties as assigned.
