We are looking for a Full Time Medical Assistant for Midtown East (Manhattan) Podiatry Office.
Front Desk Responsibilities:
1. Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently.
3. Handle incoming phone calls and inquiries using multi-line phone systems.
4. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
5. Assist with medical office management tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
6. Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans for patients.
7. Utilize software for patient management and billing processes.
8. Support medical coding efforts by ensuring accurate documentation using ICD-10 and CPT codes.
9. Experience in PODIATRY billing is preferred.
Back office Responsibilities:
1. Turning over and cleaning/disinfecting the exam rooms.
2. Sterilizing instruments.
3. Stocking the rooms.
4. Preparing the patients for doctor's exam and treatment.
5. Helping patients in/out of exam rooms and at times helping patients with their shoes and socks.
6. Additional duties include answering the phone, scheduling appointments and data entry.
Medical Assistant experience is a MUST but we are willing to train the right person to fit our needs that are specific to Podiatry. This is a tremendous opportunity for the right person. The days that we need help are Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm. The position pays $18-$21/hr based on experience and skill.
