Full/Part-Time Physical Therapy (Midtown West) NYS Licensed Physical Therapist
About us: We are located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, at Directions Physical Therapy and Acupuncture, we excel at a personalized approach to treatment, tailoring each person’s individual plan to his or her specific needs; we provide each patient one-hour, one on one PT, acupuncture, medical massage and/or therapeutic exercise sessions.
Each session consists of 60 minutes, one on one; you will treat one patient for a whole hour.
For exercise sessions, we use weights, treadmill, and ballet bar. Manual techniques that therapists at Directions Physical Therapy and Acupuncture use includes: Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Visceral Mobilization, Nerve Mobilization, Joint Articulation, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Massage, acupuncture, cupping, reiki, and more.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Meet with patients and take a case history to determine overall health.
- Ability to seek, find, and treat the root causes of the patient's pain, not just the symptom(s).
- Write thorough notes for each session on WebPT – training will be provided if necessary.
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic setting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with other therapists and staff members
- Strong manual skills preferred.
Requirements:
New York State Physical Therapist license
You will be asked for two written/verbal references at the time of your interview.
