We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. The Staff Pharmacist will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and enhance patient outcomes.
Pharmacist must know how to use micromerchant/primeRX software.
Responsibilities:
Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications.
Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and patient counseling.
Utilize pharmacy software for accurate dispensing and record-keeping.
Conduct patient assessments to evaluate medication effectiveness and safety.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized medication plans.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations.
Maintain knowledge of anatomy and pharmacology to inform clinical decisions.
Experience
A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required.
Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care.
Familiarity with pharmacy technician duties is beneficial.
