Dental Receptionist

DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a dental receptionist with dental billing experience that can help our team and patients get the care they need. You will be responsible for coordinating with insurance to verify procedures/out of pockets and developing treatment plans to present to patients.

COMPENSATION: $25-28 per hour for 40 hour work weeks Monday - Friday. 7 Vacation days, 2 Sick days, 2 Personal days.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

(1) Recall. Organize and call re-call list for hygiene to keep a full schedule

(2) Outstanding Treatment. Run report & work on list of patients needing treatment that has not been completed yet to help fill schedule and follow up with unscheduled treatment

Financial Coordination. Organize and follow up with patients waiting to hear about out of pocket after insurance estimates are calculated

(3) Insurance Eligibility for Procedures. Verify insurance eligibility, calculate out of pocket based on procedure codes

(4) Treatment Plan Presentation. Update treatment plans with correct insurance estimates so that the software can generate the proper patient out of pocket. Present and have patient sign treatment plan prior to procedures.

(5) Schedule and Confirmations. Confirming appointments & notifying patients in advance of their financial obligations via phone. Optimizing the schedule for production and filling openings.

(6) Communication. Make appointments, answer phones, answer emails, missed calls, voicemails, reply to text messages

Insurance Breakdowns. Obtain a breakdown of benefits and upload into patient document manager.

(7) Claims Follow Up. Resubmit claims electronically with narratives by coordinating with the doctor as needed. Call insurances to follow up on outstanding claims and the reason.
