RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect information from patients, including insurance information, money for copays and contact information to put into eCW
Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
Responds to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous manner
Provide patients with forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provider availability
Process payments from patients for uninsured patients
Check and verify patient insurance eligibility
Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree or administrative certification preferred)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
One year of excellent customer service skills and experience.
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is a plus
Flexible and solutions-driven
Responsive and comfortable working in a fast-paced accountability environment with different types of providers.
Passionate about providing high-quality care to low-income, under-served residents and those lacking access to health care.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Engage in learning and continuous quality improvement
Strong organizational and time management skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication, with a culturally diverse patient and staff population
