Lead Barista & Café Manager, Where Coffee Meets Community We're not your typical café. Located in the heart of Pelham, we're a special space where great coffee and community support blend perfectly together. As part of our innovative day habilitation program, we're seeking a passionate Lead Barista who can create both exceptional beverages and meaningful experiences.
About the Role:You'll be the heart of our café, crafting excellent espresso based drinks while mentoring trainee baristas in a supportive environment. This position combines coffee expertise with the rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives.
What You'll Do:Create high-quality espresso-based drinks, specialty iced coffees, and hot beveragesLead daily café operations, including opening procedures and cash handlingMaintain pristine cleanliness and organization throughout the space Manage inventory and coordinate with upper management. Set up and present our selection of baked goods Guide and support a team of trainee baristas, who are a part of the program and in currently perform table service. Help coordinate special events with various human service organizations
Create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all guests.
What We're Looking For:Proven barista experience with good knowledge of espresso-based drinks. Natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life Patient, empathetic personality with a passion for mentoring others good rganizational skills and attention to detail Reliable self-starter who can manage multiple priorities
Experience in food service or retail management is a plus Background in human services or similar field is welcomed but not required Schedule & Compensation:$22 per hourMonday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Future opportunity for Saturday shifts with our recreation program Consistent, family-friendly hours
