We are seeking to hire a Server who is comfortable behind the Bar and can work as a Bartender to join our team at Island Restaurant.
Island is a staple restaurant to a high end clientele on Madison Avenue in the Upper East Side. After 35 years of business, our restaurant is as busy as ever.

About the position:
Relevant experience REQUIRED - not bus boy experience, not barista experience but full service waiting tables or bar experience only please. A high level of comfort discussing food ingredients and preparation is important as well as a POSITIVE energy and attitude! As a Bartender, you should be comfortable mixing drinks quickly, taking verbal orders and servicing our bar of 7 guests who frequent the restaurant and most often dine at the bar.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, enjoy making conversation and have a great ability to multitask and work well under pressure. They will also feel comfortable getting to know our guests.

Monday (Bartending): 3pm - 11pm
Tuesday (off)
Wednesday (Bartending): 3pm - 11pm
Thursday (off)
Friday (Serving) - 12pm - 3pm
Saturday (Serving) - 10:15am - 4pm
Sunday (Bartending): 3pm - 11pm
